From October 2003 to December 2005 I was a volunteer in Monapo, Mozambique. I wanted to create a page specifically about Mozambique and my experience there to make it easier to share pictures with family and friends, but also for anyone interested in this beautiful country, because it is beautiful. Africa seems blurry in the imaginations of many people. To me, it is a place of endless possibility; everyday was filled with the potential for something louca or emocional or belississima.
Mozambique
is Portuguese-speaking country in Southern Africa. It has ten
provinces, each with its own culture, languages and terrain. I lived
in Nampula
province, but got to know the capital city of Maputo fairly well too.
The only provinces I never visited were Tete, Niassa and Zambezia.
